??I was helping a friend who didn't know the trick to tame Anthriss the other night,Runescapre gold, we're Horde and we had a human hunter come up and just kill him. Hope he enjoyed his 25g. I always find it had an even lower act when it's a hunter. Deth'tilac was up at the sometime coincidentally. A nelf mage was kiting him to the NPCs at the Molten Front, and finally he killed him and got some WOW gold with their help. I just felt sad. I have all the Molten Front spiders except the green one, as well as the Obsidian Cat, and always try to let my hunter friends know when rares are up. I certainly never 'kill them just because I can'.

??I like the mechanics of all this (I sat and watched Deth'tilac get dragged out into the open and then swarmed and killed by nearby players while I was trying to take on several occasions, often only to listen to them say crap like "wtf he doesn't drop anything) so I'm prefer keeping hunter pets for hunters. I just wish the rates were more interesting than making WOW gold. They're all just slightly recolored versions of existing pets so none of them have anything really unique about them like Loque'nahak, Terrorpene or Sambas. I guess the good news is that I won't need to make a pruning pass through my stable.

??Recolors are nothing new. Most of the rares in the game are just recolor of existing models. Loque, Terrorpene, and Sambas are some of the exceptions to get WOW gold, not the rule. Sure, but those are regular rares bopping around in low level zones. Since Northrend and Cata we've been used to see unique, interesting pets that can't be found anywhere else, which makes the ridiculous competition for them worth it.

??To be fair, Terrorpene and Skoll are just recolors of existing models. But the difference is that Terrorpene isn't just a "red turtle", he's a fire turtle. Skoll isn't just a "blue wolf", he's a glowing blue lightning wolf. Skarr isn't just a "black cat", he's an obsidian stone cat made of volcanic rock with glowing red eyes. What I'm saying is that there's no "wow factor" to any of the new rares and that if they're going to make us jump through hoops to get these pets (which I'm totally OK with) for WOW gold and then they should have more pizazz than just "a white strider" or "a blue goat".
